The first semifinals of the Europa League took place on Thursday. It is worth noting that in them the German teams faced rivals from Foggy Albion.

The duel between West Ham and Eintracht was considered the central match, as the chances of the teams were considered equal. The coach of the Londoners took the main team out on the field and for this reason Andriy Yarmolenko remained on the bench.

Eintracht has already managed to surprise in the quarterfinals, leaving Barcelona out of the tournament. Now the Germans toppled West Ham. Already in the 1st minute, Knauff responded on the field from the wing and hit the goalkeeper with his head accurately.

The Londoners tried to take the initiative, but the “eagles” were not allowed to approach near their gate. And yet, West Ham equalized in the 21st minute when Antonio finished the ball in the net after a deduction from Zoom.

Eintracht would be fine with a draw, but Glasner’s men were still able to take away the London victory. At the beginning of the second half, Sow found an opportunity to shoot at Areola’s gate, the Frenchman returned the ball directly to Kamada, who locked it in the empty net.

Yarmolenko never appeared on the field and all attempts by Moyes’s wards to restore the status quo were unsuccessful. After a week, West Ham will have to play in Germany just to win.

There is a good chance that the German final will be waiting for us in the Europa League. Leipzig hosted the Rangers at home and won the class. The Tedesco team did not force the game and only after the break did they start creating a threat at the gates of the Scots.

Still, the difference in Leipzig’s class was enough to get a minimal victory. In the 85th minute, Angelino placed a shot from distance from the penalty line and the ball after the shot still flew to McGregor’s goal. The return match in Glasgow will take place on May 5th.
