One of the most popular recipes on the internet is an Italian pie, or Italian biscuit called “12 tablespoons”. His secret is that it is prepared without weighing the ingredients, but only by measuring all the ingredients with an ordinary tablespoon.
The ingredients are the simplest and the lemon peel gives the biscuit a light citrus aroma and taste. It is also important to remember that you can add any dried fruit to the dough, you can also make a fruit pie based on this biscuit, and also use an already baked pie to make a cake by simply preparing your favorite cream and, if desired, cream.
In short, this is a wonderful recipe that is good in its original form and can be completed as soon as you want.
It is important to remember that all ingredients should be at room temperature. You should measure them with a spoon. So choose your favorite.
Italian pie “12 luge”
- Sugar – 12 tablespoons. l.
- Unscented vegetable oil – 12 tablespoons. l.
- Milk – 12 tablespoons. l.
- Flour – 12 tablespoons with a slight slide (about 250 g)
- Baking powder – 1 tablespoon slide (6 g)
- A pinch of salt
- Eggs – 3 pieces.
- Peel and juice of half a lemon
- Vanilla sugar – 10 g, and if you use vanilla – then a pinch
Add the eggs a pinch of salt, 12 tablespoons sugar, vanilla sugar or vanilla, beat with a mixer or stir until the mass becomes lush and light. Add 12 tablespoons milk (choose with a high fat content) and 12 tablespoons unscented vegetable oil.
And grate the peel of a lemon on a smaller grater. Here it is very good: it gives a citrus aroma. Also add the juice of half a lemon. Beat them with a mixer for another minute.
Now it comes to flour and baking powder. It is better to mix them separately and add them gradually: in 2-3 doses, stirring with a spatula and not with a mixer, so that no lumps form. The flour should be 12 tablespoons with one slide, this is important because otherwise the dough will rise unevenly.
Grease the bottom and sides of the mold, sprinkle with flour. Pour the dough into the mold, bake for 40-45 minutes in a preheated oven at 180 degrees. For the first half hour the oven does not need to be opened so that the cake does not fall. Check readiness with a toothpick – it should be dry.
Then leave the cake in the mold for half an hour to cool in it. After that you can decorate it as you wish, sprinkle it with powdered sugar or leave it as it is. It will be delicious anyway.
