Missing pets will be helped to find artificial intelligence

A link to the Smart Search for Pets search engine has appeared on the website of the Mary Station for Animal Disease Control. This is a smart bulletin board that will help you find the missing dogs and cats. The Tail of Fortune charity project to help pets and their owners was developed and started by JSC Goznak and the Russian Cynological Federation.

Bulletin table https://helppet.ru/ works by using artificial intelligence to quickly and easily find pets with a simple photo. The “lost” database is unified, but can indicate the locality where the animal is lost. If the database contains lost and found ads with photos of the same animal, the publications will automatically match.

The technology for identifying pets with photos is based on artificial intelligence. To use the technology, you need to take a picture of your pet on an ordinary smartphone. This technology only works to identify dogs and cats. The neural network is engaged in detection, i.e. the detection of a pet in a photograph, is able to “highlight” it in the photograph among other objects, and also determines the angle of rotation of the head. If the angle allows you to identify the animal, part of the photograph with the animal’s face is cut out. Next, a feature vector is constructed and a dog or cat is searched and identified.

A special project has been launched in Yoshkar-Ola to search for extinct animals.
