According to Ukrainian chef Evgeniy Klopotenko, the asparagus season has come. So, it’s time to cook this delicious and healthy product. To get the perfect crunchy asparagus, just follow a few simple tips.

For cooking we need:

  • 500 gr asparagus
  • 30 g butter
  • the juice of a quarter of a lemon
  • salt to taste

Step by step recipe:

  • Prepare the main ingredient. Peel a squash, grate it and squeeze the juice. Remove the top layer of hard fibers, then cut the strongest part of the shoot, about an inch from the edge.
  • Place a pot of water on the stove, bring to a boil, add salt and then asparagus.
  • Boil the sprouts for about a minute and then send them to a preheated pan with melted butter. Fry for one to two minutes, adding a pinch of salt.
  • Instead of butter, you can use olive or corn oil.
  • Asparagus combines well with lemon and lemon peel, so generously sprinkle asparagus sprouts with lemon juice and sprinkle with lemon peel during baking.
  • Asparagus goes well with chili peppers or a mixture of peppers.

For this you will also need:

  • 30 g butter
  • 30 g of wheat flour
  • 300 ml of milk
  • salt to taste
  • a nutmeg tip

Step by step recipe:

  • Put a pot on the stove, melt 30 g butter in it.
  • Add 30 gr of wheat flour to the creamy mass and stir constantly.
  • Pour 300 ml of milk, take a beater and mix well so that no lumps form until the sauce thickens. To make the sauce not too thick, you can add more milk.
  • Finally add salt to taste and a little nutmeg.
  • Arrange the asparagus on a plate, sprinkle with lemon juice and top with bechamel sauce.
